- When is my carport going to be delivered?
- Our standard installation time is 2-4 weeks. We will notify the customer a week ahead of scheduling to make sure they are ready and to confirm a date and time. We will schedule the customer ASAP.
- What width and length does my concrete pad need to be?
- The pad length can be 1 foot shorter than the building length. The width should be the same as the building.
- Will two cars fit in an 18' wide building?
- It depends on the size of the cars. Two small or two midsize cars will fit. But if the customer wants to fit two full size pick-up trucks under an 18' wide building, it may not work. Recommend that they measure their vehicles. For these instances, it is better to have too much space than not enough.
- What Gauge is the metal?
- The frame is standard 14 gauge and is available in 12 gauge; the sheeting is 29 gauge.
- Is there a warranty on the Metal?
- The metal is galvanized so there shouldn't be any problems. If there is a problem with the workmanship, we will repair the building. The problem will be corrected at the contractor's expense. The lot operator will determine the validity of the repair.
- Does the customer need braces?
- We recommend braces on each leg if the building is 8' or taller, but it is up to the customer to order them.
- Where do the braces go?
- The corner brace attaches from the top corner of the leg to the bottom corner of the bow to help keep the carport from swaying too much. The roof brace attaches to the peak of the bow.
- How tall does a building need to be to cover a RV?
- It depends on the RV. Tell the customer that they need to tell us the height at the tallest point and we can calculate the pitch to determine the correct leg height. Be sure the measurement for the RV is taken at its highest point, such as the air conditioner unit.
